Eat your heart out MS. Google to launch new OS for PC

News has been floating around that google is developing a new OS for PC which will put it in direct competition with Microsoft.

According to big boy google, the new OS will initally be targeted towards netbooks & low cost personal computers. Google said netbooks new OS could be on sale by the middle of 2010.

"Speed, simplicity and security are the key aspects of Google Chrome OS," said the company in a blog The news could also be a blow to the open source Linux operating system, which had taken an early lead on netbooks, but then lost out to Microsoft's elderly Windows XP.

Yes right Google Chrome is a web browser developed by Google.
And it was launched in the year 2008 only.
