Internet search engine giant Google is branching out into the mobile phone industry, with a new phone due out in the next two weeks. Codenamed 'Dream' it will be available in America and the UK exclusively through T Mobile. The phone will be will be made my Taiwanese manufacturer HTC and will be the first phone to use Google's Android software.
The Android browser is built on the same technology as the new Google Chrome browser but designed for smaller screens. Andy Rubin, Google's director of mobile platforms, said that Android's success hinges on the reception of their first phone. We're in the final stages and having lots of sleepless nights, but we're very happy with the results,' he said. I played with one the other day and i think i like it better than the i phone software wise but it has now where near the elegance of the iphone

google is smart. Another thing I have noticed is in some niches that they branch out into , they just find the most successful individuals in that niche, & buy them out. Very smart investment in my opinion, rather than pouring all of that money into competing.

I had both iphone and tmobile's google. And no wounder google g3 isn't no where like i phone killer. Iphone is still way lot more batter. Specially new version as stated with like 25k applications.. comon nothing can beat it. It just slick.
