Nokia’s answer to iPhone is N96

Nokia N96Rumour mills have been busy lately about Nokia bringing out an iPhone killer and recently we found some information leaked on to Nokia’s German website. If the information is correct then, Nokia fans will be able to get their hands on N96 by third quarter of 2008 for a price of around €550 (Plus Tax).Looking at the specification below, Nokia obviously has made an effort to outdo iPhone in an attempt to capture the younger generation users and get a foot hold in a market that’s being dominated by iPhone at the moment.

N96 Specification

Symbian S60 PF2 OS

2.8 inch 16.7 million colour QVGA Screen

5 Mega pixel camera with auto-focus and dual-LED flash

16GB Storage capacity (Upgradeable to 24 Gb via MicroSD card)

GPS Built in

Geo-Tagging (Allowing user to add location information to a photograph)

DVB-H TV on move

TV-Out Port (Standard resolution support)

Bluetooth 2

802.11 b/g Wi-Fi

Nokia has crammed in all these features to compete with iPhone and has taken it a step further by presenting it as a “Multimedia Computers” rather then a phone.

I will bring you further news on this once i get my hands on this today later this year. So watch this space
